Resilient Palisades is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing community-driven climate solutions in Pacific Palisades. In response to the January 2025 wildfire, we are leading a 6-9 month initiative to promote fire-resilient, all-electric rebuilding powered by renewable energy and microgrids.

We are seeking a highly organized, community-oriented Program Coordinator to support the implementation of our Electrify the Rebuild campaign. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about climate resilience, clean energy, and community engagement. The Program Coordinator will support educational events, resident outreach, community partnerships, and coordination with technical and policy
stakeholders.

Roles & responsibilities
This is perfect for an early-career climate, resiliency, sustainability, and/or energy professional in Los Angeles with excellent project management skills and community organizing and/or nonprofit experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination
• Manage day-to-day logistics and scheduling of events and outreach activities
• Track timelines, deliverables, and key performance indicators
• Support coordination with project partners and stakeholders
Community Outreach
• Assist in adapting and distributing educational materials
• Help organize and promote in-person workshops and virtual forums
• Coordinate the visibility campaign (yard signs, email, and social media posts)
• Liaise with local partners (HOAs, schools, block captains, faith groups)
Resident Support & Policy Feedback
• Maintain records of resident inquiries and connect them to relevant electrification or rebuilding experts
• Collect, organize, and summarize feedback on permitting, incentives, and clean energy challenges
• Help prepare memos and talking points for policy engagement
Energy Resilience & Microgrid Advocacy
• Support outreach related to the Pali Microgrid and solar + storage education
• Help schedule and prepare materials for coordination meetings with LADWP and clean energy partners
Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in project coordination, community organizing, or nonprofit work
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with clean energy, electrification, or sustainable rebuilding preferred
• Comfort with Google Workspace, social media platforms, and Zoom
Time Commitment:
• 15–20 hours per week on average
• Flexible hours with occasional evenings/weekends for community event
