The Program Manager will drive the execution of key initiatives that advance the Foundation’s priorities, with an initial primary focus on Grateful Bench, a project the Foundation is helping to fund and support through its advisory board role. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day workstreams that help advance the Foundation’s investment in the project, including coordinating timelines, consultants, communications, and multiple stakeholders, with the goal of keeping the Foundation’s involvement organized, strategic, and effective.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and following through effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate thrives as part of a small team and exhibits strong communication, coordination and accountability traits. Equally essential is understanding and promoting the foundation’s values, exercising sound judgment, and demonstrating a commitment to community service.

Roles & responsibilities

*Support the Foundation’s role on the Grateful Bench Advisory Board by building and managing detailed project plans, tracking deliverables, and coordinating with consultants and stakeholders to help advance the Foundation’s investment in the project.

*Identify risks, gaps, or delays and take initiative to resolve issues and keep projects on track.

*Provide input on behalf of the Foundation regarding the Grateful Bench website, social media, and other marketing activities, consistent with the Foundation’s advisory role and investment in the project.

*Manage the Foundation website and support activities that contribute to our public profile including, but not limited to, managing donor recognition opportunities.

*Coordinate and execute special projects that complement the Foundation’s grantmaking and strategic priorities (e.g., Rainbow Resource Network).

*Manage and execute convenings, meetings, and special events, including logistics, materials, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

*Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in nonprofit sector project management, development or marketing.

*Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining attention to accuracy and detail.

*Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to interact well with and respect a diverse range of people, experiences, and constituencies.

*Commitment to excellence with strong attention to detail and self-review of product.

*Strong analytical skills, with an ability to distill complex information across a range of issues areas in order to develop recommendations and problem-solve.

*Effective written and verbal communication skills.

*Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to adopt and utilize new tools and systems to improve efficiency.

*Demonstrated maturity and appreciation for the importance of use of tact, diplomacy and discretion.

*Valid driver's license and/or the ability to travel throughout the Southern California area is a requirement of the role

*Regular and predictable on-site job attendance at the foundation’s office in Los Angeles is expected as part of this role, as is participation in occasional evening and/or weekend events.

Salary

$110,000–$140,000
