Goldhirsh Foundation, 2050 Investment Analyst & Fund Manager
The Goldhirsh Foundation’s endowment was built from the entrepreneurial vision of Bernie Goldhirsh, who launched Inc. magazine, the first publication dedicated to entrepreneurs and small businesspeople, which played a pivotal role in elevating entrepreneurship into the mainstream. Post Bernie’s passing, the foundation split, and the Goldhirsh Foundation is now driven forward by a board of Claire Hoffman and Ben Goldhirsh, and president, Tara Roth. While the leadership has changed, the imperative to drive progress through entrepreneurial activity remains the core navigation principle. This manifests in grantmaking and investing in bold ideas for the future – including through the 2050 Fund, which applies the LA2050 framework to align capital with impact across five core goals: LEARN, CREATE, PLAY, CONNECT, and LIVE.
