About this job
The Events and Development Manager plays a key role in supporting the organization’s fundraising and community engagement efforts through strong coordination, database management, and event execution. This role supports the team by keeping systems, event logistics, and schedules organized and moving forward.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and familiar with the Foundation’s mission and programs. They should also demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in developing clear guidelines for complex, multi-step processes.
This position pays between $28 - $34/hour, depending on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
Roles & responsibilities
Events Coordination & Execution (50%)
Plan and coordinate logistics for fundraising events and community programs
Manage event timelines, vendor coordination, run-of-show documents, and day-of logistics
Support event promotion logistics in coordination with communications staff
Track RSVPs, attendance, and post-event follow-up tasks
Support in-person and virtual events as needed
Fundraising & Development Support (40%)
Enter and acknowledge donations in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare donor lists, mailing lists, and basic fundraising reports
Support donor communications logistics, including mailings, invitations, and follow-up tracking
ssist the Executive Director with scheduling donor meetings and tracking follow-ups
Support board fundraising efforts through list prep, meeting logistics, and follow-up coordination
Database & Records Management (10%)
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely entry
Maintain donor, board, and contact records
Generate standard reports to support fundraising, events, and board meetings
Process incoming checks and donations, and ensure proper documentation and deposits
Qualifications
At least one year of experience in events coordination, development support, or nonprofit operations roles
Experience supporting fundraising or donor engagement work strongly preferred
Experience with databases like Giveffect, Salesforce, Bloomerang, Little Green Light, eTapestry, or similar
Strong organizational and project management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy, especially with data
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Salary
$56,000-$68,000
