About this job

We are seeking a highly organized, strategic leader who is passionate about holistic healing and ready to grow with our organization during this exciting foundational phase. This dual-function role oversees both organizational operations and development/fundraising. This is ideal for someone who can seamlessly manage day-to-day logistics while building sustainable funding streams for our mission.

The Manager of Operations & Development will lead grant writing and fundraising initiatives, cultivate donor relationships, oversee daily operations, and ensure seamless execution of our retreats, prison programming, and community events.

Roles & responsibilities

Development & Fundraising (50%)

Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources.

Write, submit, and manage grant proposals, applications, and compliance reports.

Build and implement an individual donor program, including identifying prospects, cultivation strategies, and stewardship.

Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies (major gifts, annual campaigns, events, etc.)

Cultivate and maintain authentic relationships with donors, funders, corporate partners, and community stakeholders.

Create compelling case statements, donor communications, and fundraising materials.

Track and report on development metrics, grant deadlines, and fundraising goals.

Identify and pursue creative funding opportunities aligned with our healing-centered mission.

Operations Management (50%)

Establish and maintain streamlined processes that ensure efficient workflow while prioritizing service excellence and quality standards.

Oversee procurement and management of all organizational materials for daily operations, retreats, prison programming, and events.

Coordinate seamlessly across departments, partnerships, and vendor contracts to ensure cohesive operations.

Ensure all logistical elements are managed effectively for seamless program and event experiences.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of experience in nonprofit operations and/or development.

Demonstrated success with grant writing, including researching opportunities and securing funding.

Experience building or managing fundraising programs (individual donors, annual giving, campaigns).

Proficiency with Google Workspace (Calendar, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Excel.

Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.

Commitment to embodying our organization's healing-centered ethos.

Strongly Preferred:

Experience with emerging or early-stage nonprofit organizations, particularly building development infrastructure from the ground up.

Track record of successful grant applications and growing individual donor bases.

Familiarity with donor management systems and fundraising software.

Flexibility, resourcefulness, and adaptability in a growing organization

Salary

$34 to $40/hr
