Arts for Healing and Justice Network (AHJN) seeks a talented and professional Youth and Community Manager. Duties will be diverse and multi-faceted, therefore excellent professional skills and aa willingness to learn and adapt are vital for this role. This position will interact with staff, supporters, partners in the field, young people in our programs, and leaders in arts and justice reform. It will include some administrative, clerical and coordinating responsibilities. Being able to present AHJN’s mission and message, being able to interact inclusively with a range of people, having good attention to detail, and the ability to stay on task will be essential. Minimal supervision should be required for the person who is handling the essential functions of this position in a competent manner. Moderate supervision with minimal instruction may be required for special non-routine projects. Work involves routine exercise of discretion, a high degree of independent initiative and decision-making.

Part of AHJN’s organizational values is to hire young people with lived experience and expertise from our programming to work within our organization. The primary focus of this position is to work with and support those staff members in their professional development. These staff members include a Youth Engagement Specialist (YES) and two Fellowship Coordinators (FC). AHJN currently works a hybrid schedule of remote work with an increasing emphasis on in-person work, so we are currently hiring someone who is based in Los Angeles.
