About this organization

Safe Parking LA is a nonprofit organization that provides safe overnight parking to facilitate stability and housing in Los Angeles County for individuals living in their vehicles, and advocates for fair and equitable treatment and resources of the unhoused.

Founded in 2017, Safe Parking LA has evolved to become the largest safe parking program in Los Angeles and the only provider of safe lots exclusively focused on vehicular homelessness. We currently operate in the San Fernando Valley, Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, and West Los Angeles, including a program on the VA West Los Angeles campus.

About this job

Lot Advisors are responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the safe parking sites, ensuring that all amenities are functioning and accessible to program participants. Often acting as a communication bridge, you play a crucial role in our programs by being a consistent face for the organization to participants during their on-site experience, sharing insights and needs you learn with the case management team. Additionally, Lot Coordinators provide valuable support in managing our relationship with third-party vendors and support the day-of coordination for volunteers, donations, and other services provided on our safe parking lots. Your attention to detail on the lots and trauma-informed interactions will support and contribute to stability for SPLA participants.
