    Los Angeles People's Transportation Plan

    ACT-LA will launch聽a transit organizing school where cohorts of transit riders will be able to gain the skills to advocate for their long term regional visions for the public transportation system in Los Angeles. This work will culminate in The Los Angeles People's Transportation Plan - a community-driven 30-year regional transportation vision.

    Participatory Planning for Metro 10k

    LA Metro has committed to constructing thousands of housing units, presenting a unique opportunity to integrate tenant perspectives on the housing they desire, with the potential to create a dream community that remains permanently affordable for them and their families. ACT-LA and LA Forward Institute will engage residents through participatory planning and skilled based training around five targeted Metro stations across LA County, empowering them to articulate their visions for their communities.

  • LIVE 2025 Grants Challenge

    Healthy Land for Social Housing

    ACT-LA will lead a cross-sector initiative to integrate environmental justice into social housing development by building internal capacity, conducting a power analysis, and researching land remediation strategies. The project will support long-term advocacy and policy goals, including securing public funding land remediation and ensuring new housing is built on safe, healthy land.

    Care-based Safety Solutions Summit

    ACT-LA is proud to lead LA鈥檚 People鈥檚 Transit campaign, which aims to transform Metro into a sanctuary for the public, where transit is frequent, well-resourced and safe. ACT-LA seeks an LA2050 grant to convene transit policymakers and stakeholders in a care-based safety solutions summit to align power for deep investments in care-based safety strategies at LA Metro. ACT-LA will build on the role of transit ambassadors as a key care-based strategy and a good example of the kind of experts needed at every mile of transit in LA.

    Los Angeles Social Housing Toolkit

    The Los Angeles Social Housing Toolkit will serve as a foundational community resource that builds the widespread narrative and expertise needed to implement and build social housing. Through customizable modules, people will be given the tools to facilitate their own trainings through popular education and technical presentations and activities.
