Make It Work is a work-integrated social enterprise supporting women experiencing homelessness and poverty by building skills, confidence, and community. Based in Skid Row and connected to the garment industry and DTLA businesses, our circular model transforms waste into opportunity. Through hands-on training and support, women create simple, saleable products from deadstock fabric—fostering dignity, independence, and long-term pathways out of homelessness while rebuilding their lives on their own terms.
