POIETO

Traces We Carry is a digital and physical initiative inviting individuals and communities touched by fire to shape collective memory archives from all that remains. Using the Collectra platform, participants share oral histories, images, and artifacts—honoring place, belongings, histories, relationships, and the irreplaceable fragments of daily life that fire has claimed. These memories may become public archives or personal collections that hold space for feeling and remembrance in post-disaster communities across Los Angeles.

POIETOWORKS, a project of POIETO, is a STEAM education initiative that provides underserved K-12 with creative entry points to emerging technologies. Our students learn fundamental coding concepts all while having fun and making art. In classrooms across LA, we aim to enhance creativity, digital equity, and feelings of belonging in the tech space.

poieto aims to provide creative entry points to emerging technologies through educational STEAM workshops. In collaboration with Inner-City Arts, our classes will lower barriers to creating with technology, provide access to emerging industries, and catalyze imaginations of the future of technology.
